Coryander has been working in the advertising and film industry for the past 18 years. She specializes in setbuilding, commercials, film, print, from Santiago to Cape Town, London to Beijing, and right here in Los Angeles.
Her extensive experience with curating artists’ and designers’ work lends to her strength in aspirational set design and lifestyle storytelling.
She is also known for her acclaimed design fair, Parachute Market, a curated bi-annual event she created and produced for three years in LA’s Art’s District.
Parachute market was a bi-annual design fair and live event created and curated by Coryander that ran from 2013-2015 in the Art’s District of Los Angeles. Derivative of her set design background, each show revolved around a conceptual theme, and told a story about the history, craft, and social influences of design. While running Parachute, she collaborated with multitudes of LA’s most interesting and influential artists,designers, and institutions, including LACMA, JF Chen, KCRW’s DnA, West Hollywood Design District and DIEM, music producer Quincy Jones, fine artist Henry Taylor, design writer Mallery Roberts Morgan, Paddle 8 online auction house, and many more.
She lives in the Los Feliz hills, and loves to travel globally for work. She is currently developing a design studio, based in Chinatown, Los Angeles, that will offer an umbrella of services from interiors to live event production to in-house design and a design services agency, launching in the summer of 2018.
